“No Poo” and Going Green!

Ever since I had children I began getting this urge to ensure they are as healthy as possible. This includes limiting their exposure to harmful chemicals, hormones and pesticides. I’ve been working to replace our cleaning products, cosmetics, deodorants, food, drinks, vitamins, EVERYTHING with natural and/or organic options.

I actually have an event coming up at the end of the month called,”It’s the Pits!” which will shed some light on the benefits of using natural deodorants vs traditional deodorants and antiperspirants. I’ll have 5 reviews/giveaways of 5 different deodorants as well as a wrap up post comparing them all.  While researching the natural deodorant thing I came across the other harmful chemical laden products that we use daily. Shampoo and conditioner are the latest products that I’ve decided to make the switch to natural with!

I had heard about the “no poo” method from my friend on Facebook who started it and was enjoying great results. I decided to try it out for myself and my kids! So far I’ve had a bit less success than her, but I’m determined to refrain from the surfactant, paraben loaded products of my past! Check out my latest vlogs to see how my journey is going so far!

Make sure to like and comment for more! Feel free to leave suggestions for future videos!

Want to try my latest “no poo” shampoo? Try the surfactant/paraben free shampoo at The Honest Company! While you’re there check out their face/body lotion! It’s the only one that doesn’t break me out! LOVE IT!!

    • I’ve gone from hardcore “no poo”, meaning just baking soda and apple cider vinegar, to using natural shampoo, to using shampoos free of surfactants, parabens, ect. The hardcore “no poo” just wasn’t cutting it after 4-5 weeks. I had to wash with something else. I’m actually going to run an event next week with tons of info and a few prizes for natural/ chemical free shampoo! Check back Monday!!
