“It’s the Pits!” Honey Dew Naturals Be Free Deodorant Review/Giveaway

HDNHoney Dew Naturals was started by Nate and Alli, who are actual bee keepers! They have a couple of beehives that provide them with ingredients for their all natural products! They started by using them themselves which lead to others wanting to try them. Boom! Honey dew Naturals was born! Nate and Alli pride themselves in using only the most raw, natural, organic ingredients! They infuse their own essential oils, have their own beehives for honey and beeswax, and make everything in small batches to ensure the very best freshness and quality!

I was sent a full sized (2.65oz) stick of their Be Free Deodorant in Wild and Fresh scent. It has a slightly floral, honey scent. I immediately smelled the beeswax, then the light, sweet floral smell. Very pleasing to the sniffer! I also loved that it was in a deodorant container for easy, mess free application! The texture is very slightly sandy and creamy and softens to your body heat. Like most natural deodorants, if it’s stored in a warm room it will be softer, cool room, stiffer. I usually have a stiffer consistency and simply hold it against my armpit for a moment before applying to soften it a tad. It applies very nicely once warmed. On the website they suggest only allowing a tiny bit over the top of the container as it can come off rather thick once it warms, and it warms quickly. I did slab on far too much by accident a few times but eventually got the hang of it.

Although the deodorant works pretty well, I did have to reapply 2 times a day on active days. On regular days I noticed a bit of a body odor smell towards the end of the day so I may need to reapply halfway through my day. Keep in mind that my postpartum hormones have my armpits acting like I’m in the throws of puberty so what isn’t perfect for my current body chemistry may be great for yours! I just need more at this point I guess. I saw this with the deodorants that I tested that contain arrowroot powder. I’m not sure if that’s why I had to reapply with them all but that was the only similarity I could locate. I used this as my around the house deodorant with success. If I was going out, I opted for another. Like I said, that’s just me.

I really love how very organic this deodorant is! I love how hands on Nate and Alli are with the making of not only many of the ingredients, but the deodorant itself. I love that they would never sell anything that they wouldn’t use on themselves or their family! They even post natural remedies and healthy recipes on their Facebook page! Overall I’d say on a scale of 1-5, 5 being super fantastic, I personally give it a 3.8. For me, this is my go to deodorant to use on lazy weekends when I’m just working around the house and relaxing. You can view other customer’s reviews HERE (bottom of the page) for additional points of view. People love this deodorant!!

My 2.65oz stick retails for $9 and will easily last 2-3+ months with regular use! Purchase yours, or some of their other awesome products HERE! You can even buy some of that fresh honey, straight from their hives, in all it’s natural goodness HERE!

  1. Their products sound amazing. I would love to try their bug spray, toothpaste, lip balm, healing salve, snd the CHILL headache and congestion relief. And of course the deodorant!

  2. Really excited to see an herbal bug spray. That will come in handy while I’m out in the garden and I wouldn’t feel bad using some around my little one.
