I’ve been watching my calories (as best I can) over the past 2 weeks using an app called My Fitness Pal and I kind of love it! They have a database full of foods that I can pick from rather than adding in my own meals, item by item, calorie by calorie. Most foods I eat are already in the app which saves me tons of time! Plus I can add in my exercises and even account for breastfeeding!
Well along this journey I have been searching Pinterest for low calorie options of the foods I crave. Low and behold I’ve found me a winner for breakfast! I ADORE banana pancakes and could eat about 50 in one sitting! I found a wheat flour, greek yogurt recipe that I’ll try soon, but right now I’m on the 180 calorie banana protein pancake! You can make 4-5 small pancakes from it but I just make one giant one! They remind me of crepes but are fluffier. For 180 calories they’re pretty dang fantastic!
Banana Protein Pancake(s):
Dash of Cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
Grease a pan with a little cooking spray.
Pour several pancakes, or 1 big one.
Cook about 1-2 minutes per side and enjoy!!!
I choose to have mine without any syrup since the banana makes them perfectly sweet! You can customize this recipe with add in’s like craisins, raisins, coconut, nutmeg, and more! Counting calories never tasted so good!
